WPIC Implements State-of-the-Art Sanitization System to Facilitate Deliveries Amid COVID-19 Outbreak
WPIC Marketing + Technologies, the leading e-commerce consultancy focused on APAC, recently unveiled a cutting-edge sanitization system at its logistics facility in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, enabling the organization to fulfill orders amid China’s recent outbreak of COVID-19.
Under the new system, all packages entering and exiting WPIC’s warehouse must pass through a sanitization zone where they are sprayed with chemical disinfectant and subjected to ultraviolet disinfection. The surface of every package that enters the warehouse is also tested for the coronavirus.
The new system has facilitated regular order fulfilment, even as China deals with a recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Shanghai and other cities.
“By investing in this sanitization system, we are going above and beyond local regulations to ensure that all stakeholders are confident that consumers can safely buy goods from WPIC’s brand partners,” said Jacob Cooke, WPIC Co-founder and CEO.
Although it’s unlikely to catch COVID-19 from a surface, with China’s low case numbers and strict “dynamic zero” approach to containing the virus, contamination via an imported package represents a risk that the government and consumers take seriously. The new system ensures compliance with local regulations and raises consumer confidence that they can purchase products from WPIC’s overseas brand partners without risk of surface contamination.
“With our new sanitization system, we will be able to maintain regular order fulfilment amid this outbreak, ensuring that our brand partners can reach the hundreds of millions of consumers across China interested in purchasing their products,” said Laura Wang, WPIC Vice President of Logistics, who oversees the firm’s warehouse in Nanjing. “Moreover, we can alleviate any safety concerns that some consumers might have about buying a product that has recently been imported.
WPIC’s 65,000 square foot warehousing and logistics facility in Nanjing processes over 500 orders every day for customers across Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
